History Ganaderia Salvador Salvatierra

The SALVADOR SALVATIERRA LOPEZ horse breeding farm of Spanish Purebred, horses was established in 1990. Since then, in its large facilities, the farm has raised healthy and strong horses in complete freedom. During the years, we focused on the horse breeding and dressing and particularly on horse carriages.

We started this great adventure with fillies "del hierro" from ROMERO BENITEZ and stallions from D. MIGUEL A. CARDENAS, and we tried to obtain horses that are remarkable for their HARMONY, HEIGHT AND BEAUTY,, typical characteristics of the Salvatierra race.

Then, we choose mares "del hierro" from JOSE L. ESCALERAS y de los HERMANOS GUARDIOLA, with stallions of our own farm, evolving from horses with gray coat to chestnut coat.

Our facilities are located in the Cortijo Santa Catalina, in the municipality of Chimeneas (Granada), and they have all the elements necessary for the breeding of Spanish purebred horses. Furthermore, we also have an amazing bullring where the stables for stallions are located. Hundreds of hectares complete this breeding farm for Salvatierra race horses.

In the year 2000, D. Salvador Salvatierra López appointed as technical director his son Juan S. Salvatierra Orozco, which is currently part of the ANCCE board of directors.
